My name is Chris and I'm a former Upper Canadian kid now living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It’s a lovely little city perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, on Canada’s east coast. You should visit sometime.

I’m a web developer/administrator during the day. I’ve been known to listen to music, take photographs, and read books. I try to hike and run every now and then.

Photographs

For those who are interested, all my photographs are recorded on film. Both black and white and colour film is developed at home, where I also print the black and white in my makeshift darkroom. For the web, I scan the negatives. For the wall, I make wet chemistry silver-gelatin prints.

Many, or rather most, of the photographs that accompany my writings are made with a digital camera.

Photographs and other things are published when I feel like it, which is not too often these days. You should subscribe to keep up-to-date.

better left unsaid is hosted on a Media Temple VPS. CloudFlare optimizes, secures and distributes the site. I use TypeKit to fiddle with the fonts. I’m using Garamond Premier Pro from Adobe for body text and P22 Franklin Caslon from P22 for headings.
